While there is no confirmation that Sony is planning a PC release for Ghost of Tsushima, the case for it to be next in line to receive a port is more than compelling enough to make its eventual release likely. Sitting nicely in a 2-3 year gap since its initial release means Ghost of Tsushima's console sales have likely peaked, but if Sony's other former PlayStation-exclusive releases on PC are any indication, the game could see a solid new wave of sales from a release on a new platform. With the game originally releasing in 2020 and the director's cut releasing a year later in 2021, Ghost of Tsushima is in the ideal position for a PC release. While these can add goofy entertainment to some games, mods can also be used to help other games reach their full potential by completely reworking elements like lighting and textures or adding in new mechanics or even full game modes, and Ghost of Tsushima's cinematic flair makes it the perfect playground for mods of all kinds. One of the biggest advantages a PC version of Ghost of Tsushima would have over its console counterpart is access to the modding community. It would also make a fantastic title to take advantage of the Steam Deck or ROG Ally's portable gaming capabilities. This trend has been great for both these games and PC players because it helps renew interest in these titles after they've already had a life on PlayStation, while giving a whole new audience access to them. In recent years, Sony has made an effort to bring some of its biggest titles to PC including the likes of God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, and The Last of Us Part 1.
